Natural stone has universal appeal and its appearance can only improve with wear and the passing of time - we would go so far to say that a well-maintained floor in place over a number of years has more appeal than one which has been newly laid.

As well as supplying stone for private commissions we work with architects and designers on projects as varied as retail spaces, corporate reception areas, museums, galleries, airports and restaurants. Whether intended to redefine the interior of a period home or as a complement to steel, glass and timber in a contemporary environment, natural stone provides a harmonious solution to the demands put on it.

Quality product, quality service
For the better part of 20 years, Stone Age has earned recognition for its expertise and service with all things stone. As well as assisting clients select the right material for their project we give comprehensive advice on fixing, protecting and cleaning stone floors, cladding, staircases, worktops, wetrooms and shelving.

Having gone to great lengths to build relationships with skilled and reliable suppliers we can confidently claim to provide the very best materials, finishes and lead times. Quality control of stone throughout Europe is notoriously irregular - and there have been occasions when it has appeared that we are the only company aware of this! Unfortunately, it is not unheard of for 2nd or 3rd grade stone to be bought by inexperienced stone suppliers. This can mean an order may not be completed satisfactorily by an unsuspecting importer.

Stone Age¹s investment in our Portuguese suppliers is such that we get priority service with at least one shipment arriving in the UK every week. Ordinarily our stone is cut to several standard sizes but depending on your requirement and scale of the order we will happily supply any measurement upon request.

The majority of stone is supplied polished, honed, bush-hammered or flamed but can be supplied with a variety of other specialist finishes.
